whats good!!
By: Ryan Lochte Date: Nov 5, 2007 - 09:41 AM
whats up whats up! how is everyone doing? I am doing good, you know holding down the G-Spot (gainesville)! well i guess you can say i have been busy lately. traveling and of course swimming a bunch hahaha! well let you guys know what I'm up to, i flew out to LA for a got milk ad the other weekand, it was really cool. there were other Olympians there in other sports so it was cool to meet other athletes. you know that the milk mustache thing is not really milk. it is a quarter milk, a quarter ice cream, and a quarter of cottage cheese. ewwww! trust me didn't taste that great, it was kinda sour pancake bater, yuck! but other than that it was really cool to do something totally different like that.
well practice is going really well i am starting to feel good in the water and not feel like i am drowning in the pool.  the other day i had to do 8x100's of the blocks on 3 minutes, 2 fly, 2 free, and 2 backstroke. the fly was both 47.0, the free was 45.2's, and all the backstrokes were 48.0's. the set wasn't bad for me, i was still in rig mode after the freestyle but it was an over all good set for me. last weekand i drove to Orlando to watch my Lil bro swim in his state meet, he went all best times so I'm proud of him. he also just verbally committed to Florida for next yea so that is really exciting, now another lochte at Florida, i don't know if that is really safe hahah just kidding, were good kids jeah! well i gotta go do work around the house so Peace up, A town stay down!! jeah!

hey everyone!! i hope everyone is doing good. i don't know about you guys but this past weekend was....... JJJJJEEEEEAAAAAHHHHH!!!! hahaha, the reason why it was so awesome was that Lil Wayne (the best rapper alive) did a concert at the O'Connell center in gainesville. the best concert i have ever been to, it was so so tight, well first fabolous opened up the concert which was tight, then Lil Wayne came on later and i must say, jeah! me and my two best friends we had front row seats exactly in the middle. it was insane my legs hurt still from jumping up and down hahaha. i had my grillz in my new Paul watch i got i was iced out to the fullest. well it was awesome, now its wed. and i think it is time for Ryan to be on taper or a break my body is completely finished. practices and dry land are killing me. for instance we did 10x100's kick on 1.10. then we did 10 more on the same time. we can say Ryan was in rig mode. for those who don't know what "RIG" is it is a word that some ppl use to mean that there hurting or they died in practice meaning your practice was bad. so if you say i had a bad practice, say i was rigging or i was in rig mode. just a little something for you all to use in your teams hahaha. the other day i think i had the hardest dry land i have ever had since being here at UF well one of the hardest. its long ill just say it was painful. and before that we had an insane workout that started 20x 50's pull on 45. then 4x100's on 1.20 descend, then into 2x300's on 3.15. then right into 4x200's on 2.30, into 2x600's on 6.40, into 4x300's on 3.45, into 2x900's on 10 min. i don't know about you guys but that set is a mental that turns into a physical toughness practice. ouch! haha that is our Monday morning practice haha cant wait till next Monday. well I'm going to cry my self to sleep now, hahaha just kidding, there is no crying in swimming. well peace!!!

By: Ryan Lochte Date: Sep 17, 2007 - 05:59 PM
hi everyone! what is it like week 2 or 3, school started here. well i have a busy very busy schedule going this semester. hahah i laugh cause i only have one class and its on line, ha ha. then i am done with college can i get a jea jea jeah! other than that everything has been good. well actually, not really i dont know if u guys remember but over the summer i fractured my ankle before i left for worlds, well i was doing stadiums with the team and i twisted the same ankle and re fractured it. i know i know i am a dummy. well i was out for a little bit, still cant run or kick really well so i guess i just got to give it time. i have been doing really good in practice even with a hurt ankle. we had to do these 5 x 400's on 4.40 (yards) and you have to hold fastest possible time and i got down to 3.31 which isn't bad for me right now, cause i am like in my hard training. also we had to do a set long course that was 20 x 150's on 2.05 backstroke. in groups of 4, and the first two were drill and second one was descend. and i was holding like 1.30 to 1.34 another decent set for me, so i pleased were i am at training wise. i just wish i could kick the same but it will come soon ha ha. anyone check out my new tuxedo shirt hahaha very hot!

whats up fellows! wow it has been a long time. well lets see, since i have been home i pretty much have been training a lot. Gosh i feel like its Christmas training again. well since i have gotten back from worlds i have been asked to do a lot of swim clinics, so i have been doing a couple of those. other than that plus my training that is suicidal right now, i have been doing my normal things.... skateboarding, basketball, watching some movies, you know the usual. i helped my friend move in my house a couple weeks ago so that was fun, hahaha. pretty much training hard for the rest of the summer, going to a couple of swim meets every now and then. just got these new shoes that i must say are so ssssswwwwwwweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeettttttt! there the same pair that my favorite rapper has (Lil Wayne). so you can say i sport those bad boys around a lot ha ha. i just recently got back from California for a photo shoot for speedo, so that was a long weekand. but i am back getting ready to graduate from college which is so nice, so pumped for that. i think all i have left is my internship which is going to be cake. already guys gotta go study! hahaha just joking but I'm out. peace!

Hey everyone! i havent been on here for a while and im sorry, but im back, jea jea jeah! haha! well after the duel in the pool me phelps hoff and jendrik went to china for some promotion stuff. we were able to walk around in china to the forbidden city which was were the emperor use to live. i most say the chinese sure know there stuff about architechtures, the building and sculptures were amazing. you know what else there great at is massages, made me walk out with a big big smile, jea jea jeah! we also did a bunch of stuff with the special olympics there. we went to a special school and walked through some class rooms and see what the kids were working on, and help out. it was a great experience, then we went to another school were all the swimmers that went did kind of like a swim clinic with the kids, then after that we had a fun mixed relay, which katie hoff lost it for us she let phelps beat her. but the hole thing was a great experience. what else, ohhh, the word Gombay is used kind for a toast and it means finish your drink whether its full or not you gotta finish it, great word i brought it back to the states haha jeah! after my almost 30 hour trip home i felt i was on morphine for about two days, i dont really remember  those days but im all back to my normal schedule, well sort off still relaxing about swimming, you know taking a little break. which means i can get back to my extra activities i like to do, skateboarding, surfing, basketball, anything i can almost break an ankle or leg or something. well class is over, im such a good student.  i got to run

hey everyone! well has been a little while since i have talkedto everyone. i guess you can say i have been busy. hahaha! well the 200 IM was good USA took 1,2  but i thought i would do a lot better, but no worries! i guess everyone saw the GRILLZ! haha! their tight, so sweet. i thought it would be something different and new to the sport of swimming, and it went well with my personality. i couldnt stop laughin on the award stand cause it was too funny. you can say i was the first for busting out the grillz. who knows maybe some rap videos to come, hahah! jk! well everyone was asking were they were during the 200 back awards. but i left them at the hotel, man i should of brought them. well 200 back went really well and i am still not believing that, that happened to me. i remember flipping on the last turn and looking out of the corner of my eye and seeing aaron in front i just dugg deep and kicked till i couldnt breathe basically. then i looked on the score board and saw that i was right with him and i remember saying to myself the last 25 meters, is that "this one is for you grandpa" and i know he watching me from up above and so i just found another gear and finally did it. my mom was crying hahah she was so happy my dad was so thrilled and i was just in shock. so for all you swimmers out there, when your tired at the end of a race know that there is still more left in the tank, you just got to find it and go for it!

whats up!
By: Ryan Lochte Date: Mar 27, 2007 - 10:29 PM

well well, im back! Can anybody say that USA was hot last night. Jeah! a little saying that young jeezy always says in his music. haha! As for me the 100 back was my best time, but at this state of competition, best times are not as good, well good but not enough to win. But swimming against the fastest swimmers in the sport is pretty tight if i must say. i had a whobble prelims and turned it up at semis, and finals was just a race. i was happy with the time but not getting second. good thing that was fuel for my next races cause i hate to lose. well, 200 im was this morning, and if you saw the race you would see ryan lochte blistering down the pool the last 20 meters! hahaha im just joking with you all.  i think i was able to stop and wave to the crowd towards the finish. but tonight in the semis will be very fun! man, i love to race! i hope you guys do too! it's the funnest thing about swimming. well im off to play some video games and eat some skittles. jeah! jeah! late!

Good day mate!
By: Ryan Lochte Date: Mar 17, 2007 - 09:41 PM
Good day mate! let's have another shrimp on the barbie! ha! ha! straight from kangeroo land. lol! been here for three days and im already talking wierd haha! just joking, aussie country can't change me. well let's see guys, there really hasn't been much to do here cause we are on taper and i'm sure you guys that swim know about how lazy people get when taper comes. well michael phelps and i had a good practice saturday! we had to do some fast pace 50's and we went head to head racing. it was a lot of fun, racing the best! swimming on the national team is really sweet, you have someone to race against in practice in every stroke, so cool. also you see amazing times and amazing racing done in practice from everybody on the team. well today we went to the beach which i loved every second of it, even though we went for like an hour but that hour i felt like i was back home in daytona beach, about to run out and catch a couple waves before school. then after that we all went to the outlet malls to do a little shopping, which i really needed to cause the airline over here they lost my luggage so i have been without clothes for a little bit, but luckily i have cullen jones to help me out. BALLIN! ha! well i gotta go feed the stomach. and for all the guys out there the women are pretty good looking here. hahah! i'm out for now! peace

Hi SwimRoom!
By: Ryan Lochte Date: Feb 21, 2007 - 09:01 AM

Hey. I’m so excited to get on SwimRoom.com. The site’s pretty sweet and should give swimmers from around the world a chance to meet each other and keep in touch with friends. I’m psyched to have a place where I can let you all know what I’m up to.

The last few months have been busy in the water. I bought a house in Gainesville a while ago, and I just spend a lot of time hanging out there with my friends. We usually just chill out when I’m not at practice. I like to play video games and basketball when I’m not in class or the pool, but lately I’ve been so busy gearing up for Worlds in Australia there hasn’t been a lot of time to just chill. I can’t wait for my first meet in Australia. The fans are great and so into swimming, it’s just a great place to compete. That’s one of the best things about swimming: I’ve been able to travel all around the world and meet some really cool people.

Well, I’ll be on here from time to time to let you know what’s new with me. It’s always great hearing from you, so drop me comments and keep checking back to see what’s new.
